Rais of Tatarstan takes part in the XIV All Russia Meeting of Entrepreneurs from Tatars villages

On 31 March the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation (Rosaccreditation) Dmitry Volvach took part in a plenary session of the XIV All Russia Meeting of Entrepreneurs from Tatar villages held in the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan on 29-31 March with participation of  about 900 representatives of small business, farmers and private farm owners from 37 regions where Tatars live in compact settlements.

Before the beginning of the plenary session the Rais of the republic looked round an exhibition of products and handicrafts, such as delicatessen, honey, national clothes, cosmetics, from entrepreneurs from various regions of Russia and visited a stand dedicated to the support given to participants of the special military operation.

Then Rustam Minnikhanov was present at a ceremony of singing an agreement between the Directorate of the Federal Service for Consumers Protection for the republic and the Halal Standard Committee of the Tatarstan Muslims Spiritual Board.

Speaking at the meeting, its moderator the regional Deputy Prime Minister Vasil Shaykhraziev, who is also the Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of Tatars stated that traditionally, the meeting brought together representatives of the business community from all over the country.

Representatives of Orenburg, Penza and Perm regions and Udmurtia, Bashkortostan and a number of other regions shared their experience in the development of rural business, implementation of social projects and preservation of national culture and traditions.

Welcoming participants of the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked them for their attention to the platform and said: “Today there are 4200 Tatar villages in Russia. We enjoy each meeting with you. And I express special thanks to the World Congress of Tatars for the high level of this event.”

He stated that toady Russia has an active cooperation with the Islamic world and added: “Due to the far-sighted position of our President, today Russia is an observer in the OIC. In cooperation with our partners we develop Islamic banking tools and Halal industry.  The Halal is also one of traditional topics in the KazanForum business programmes.”

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked participants of the forum for their contribution into the preservation of national identity and handed in a number of state awards of the republic.

In his turn Dmitry Volvach presented the accreditation certificate of the Halal Standard Committee of the Tatarstan Muslims Spiritual Board to the committee chairman Abbyas Shlyaposhnikov, who then handed in first certificates of compliance with the Halal standard to Zelenodolsk Diary Plant and Chisto Free and Itle-Kitchen companies.

The World Congress of Tatars carries out significant organizational work to preserve and develop Tatar villages. The All Russia public organization “Tatar villages of Russia” established in 2008 has been registered in the Russian Ministry of Justice and involves into its work successful village entrepreneurs from various regions of Russia representing promising spheres of agribusiness. The All Russia meeting of entrepreneurs of Tatar villages, established by an initiative from Rustam Minnikhanov in 2012 traditionally attaches great attention to issues of social responsibility of business and strengthening the unity of the Tatars.
