Rais of Tatarstan: We are interested in the development of cooperation with the Chinese Hubei Province

On 19 March, speaking at a business forum “Tatarstan- Hubei” during his working trip to Wuhan, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov thanked its participants for the interest to the republic and said that he is expecting new spheres for cooperation and projects as the result of the forum. “According to the results of last year we can see that trade turnover between Tatarstan and China grew and reached 3.3 billion dollars US,” he informed.

He listed a number of spheres where there is cooperation currently and emphasized: “With a number of Chinese provinces, including Hubei, we work within the framework of the council of cooperation in the Volga-Yangtze format.” 

Having told in detail about the industrial and economic capacity of Tatarstan and its industrial parks and technical and engineering centers, Rustam Minnikhanov stated that one of promising platforms for the development of cooperation between China and Russia is the International Forum ROSTKI and invited a delegation from the province to take part in it.
