Rustam Minnikhanov lays flower to the memorial of Soviet warriors in Wuhan

On 19 March the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who is currently on a working trip to China, laid flowers to the monument of Soviet pilots erected in the Hankow district of the City of Wuhan. 

During the China-Japan war which started in 1937 the Soviet Government provided support to China having sent 1 285 planes for defense in the next three years. As many as 214 Soviet volunteers, pilots, and technicians are buried in mass graves in China.
