Rustam Minnikhanov has a phone conversation with King of Bahrain

On 13 March, during his phone conversation with His Majesty King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that he as the Chairman of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia-the Islamic World” is   concerned about the situation currently developing around the Middle East. The parties agreed on the need to end hostilities and return to negotiations.

“Russia consistently advocates for diplomatic resolution of conflicts and condemns any manifestations of violence that lead to human casualties and destruction of infrastructure,” Rustam Minnikhanov said and emphasized that the dialogue of civilizations is the main principle of the Strategic vision group and expressed his hope that the situation will stabilize in the near future. 

In his turn the King of Bahrain thanked Rustam Minnikhanov and said: “Thank you for your call and for your attention. You are a big friend of our country and this support is important for us.” 

Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa also stated that the current escalation of the situation threatens the security of the entire region. 

Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his readiness to provide any support that can help to resolve the conflict peacefully.
