Rustam Minnikhanov visits Russian University of Cooperation in Mytishchi

On 12 March the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited Russian University of Cooperation in Mytishchi in Moscow which is the main educational and scientific center of the cooperative education system in Russia with many years of experience in training specialists.

 The University is among top ten economic higher educational institutions of the country and the main supplier of personnel for the trade and consumer cooperative sectors, having its branches all over Russia from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka.

After Rustam Minnikhanov looked round the University museum he had a meeting with the Rector Alsu Nabieva, who from 2017 to 2020 used to be the Rector of Kazan Cooperative Institute.

Later the same day Rustam Minnikhanov and the Chairman of the Board of the Central Union of Consumer Societies (Cetrosojuz) of Russia Dmitriy Zubov took part in the launch of the youth track of the International Forum of Consumer Cooperatives.

In particular, the Rais of the republic reminded that he himself worked in the sphere of consumer cooperatives and knows about problems of the industry and its opportunities firsthand. He emphasized that the development of consumers’ cooperatives is an important sphere, which does not lose its relevance, and told about a new project which was launched in the Village of Dubyazy in Tatarstan, where a new village shop under the KOOP OKOLO brand was opened.

During his visit to the Russian University of Cooperation (RUC), Rustam Minnikhanov was handed in an honorary title "Honorary Professor of the RUC».
