Address from Rustam Minnikhanov on the occasion of International Women’s Day

On 8 March in his address on the occasion of the International Women’s Day, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated all women of the republic with the event and wrote: “This spring holiday is an excellent reason to express you words of endless gratitude and sincere admiration. You occupy a special place in our live personifying the brightest qualities such as love and tenderness, beauty and internal harmony, wisdom and mother care.

The invaluable role of the fair half of humanity is predetermined by nature itself – it is you who give life, carefully raise real human values and moral guidelines in children, pass culture and native language and sense of civic duty and love to Motherland.

At all times women have been the source of inspiration finding their reflection in works of art and at the most difficult periods inspired to feats and accomplishments. Today too wives and mothers of our soldiers, protecting their home comfort and harmony, reliably protect the family hearth and fully support the defenders of the Fatherland, serve as a strong support for them, and instill faith in Victory.

Special words of gratitude are to military women, who have dedicated themselves to fulfilling a sacred mission of protecting the Motherland. We bow to the courage of women veterans who overcame the most difficult trials of the Great Patriotic War, and deeply appreciate the dedication of women serving in the special military operation zone, military doctors and nurses.

By unleashing their talents, women achieve outstanding success in a wide variety of fields, actively participate in public and political life, bring bright creative ideas to life, and make the world around them brighter and kinder. It is impossible not to admire your amazing ability to combine caring for your family and home with high professional achievements.”

In conclusion the Rais of the republic once again congratulated women with the holiday and wished them endless happiness, mutual love, good health and prosperity
