Rustam Minnikhanov visits a new village shop opened under KOOP OKOLO brand in Dubyazy

On 2 March the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited a new rural shop opened under the KOOP OKOLO brand in Dubyazy in Vysokaya Gora region of the republic and, accompanied by the Chairman of the Russian Council of Centrsoyuz and the First Deputy Director General of the X5 Vladimir Salakhutdinov, looked round it and gave assessment of its work.

The shop in Dubyazy is the thousandth in Russia and the hundredth in Tatarstan rural shop the example of which demonstrates that cooperative traditions can be technologically in demand today.

The KOOP OKOLO project, being implemented by the Centersoyuz and X5 since 2024, has become an example of a successful PPP in the rural regions. The rural supermarket format is a combination of convenient accessibility, perfected by X5, and the experience of consumer cooperatives, which has maintained a retail network even in the most remote settlements..

Tatartan is one of the key regions of the development of consumers’ cooperation where cooperative traditions are historically strong and the administration of the republic attaches priority attention to the development of rural territories. According to results of 2025 the total amount of work of consumers’ cooperation in the republic exceeded 27bn rubles.
