As of February 1 overdue gas debt amounted to approximately 226 million rubles, while management companies' debt for thermal energy amounted to 158.9 million rubles in Tatarstan

On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference , the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin  reported the statistics on collection of utility payments and payment discipline.

Thus, in accordance with the conducted analysis, the level of collection of payments from the population for housing and communal services in the republic in January 2026 decreased by 0.7% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 95%. 

The amount of overdue gas debt as of February 1, 2026, amounted to approximately 226 million rubles which shows more than 3m rubles decrease compared to the same time last year.

The regional Minister noted that because of a significant drop in air temperature, the amount of charges for natural gas consumed by housing and communal services enterprises in January this year exceeded similar figures for January 2025 by 441 million rubles, which makes 41%. 

Speaking about electricity consumption, Marat Ayzatullin said that over the course of a year, the debt amount has decreased by 9 million rubles and by 1 February of the current year the total amount of debt made approximately 8 million rubles.

In conclusion he said that it is important to prevent the growth of overdue debt for energy resources, to take measures to pay off overdue debt and prevent its further formation.
