Participants of the regional Batyrlar (Heroes) programme demonstrate their project to Rustam Minnikhanov

On 20 February participants of the regional “Batyrlar. Heroes of Tatarstan” programme which started in July last year and the aim of which is to adapt veterans of the special military operation to civil life and to use their unique experience, motivation and capacity in the system of state and municipal governance,  demonstrated their projects to the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.   

The program was implemented by the Higher School of Public and Municipal Administration of Kazan Federal University and its participants passed more than 500 academic hours of training which included educational programmes, internships at various power bodies and work with mentors chosen from the management of the republic.

After having listened to 10 projects developed with attracting branch ministries and departments, Rustam Minnikhanov noted the importance of the initiatives proposed by the participants and approved their implementation. He also congratulated the programme graduates with successful completion of the training and expressed hope that in the future they will intensify their work on patriotic education of the younger generation and strengthening spiritual and moral values.

 “You have the necessary experience and desire and I fully support you. The main thing is that the program participants and veterans find themselves in civilian life, working in areas such as patriotic activities, rehabilitation, and adaptation of soldiers,“ he concluded.
