Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI)

On 18 February the Rais (Head) of Tatrstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) held by Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, which discussed results of work of the Agency in 2025 and represented results of the National ranking of quality of life in regions.

Speaking at the meeting, Vladimir Putin said:” I very much hope that you will continue to make a significant and noticeable contribution to the long-term, sustainable development of regions and municipalities, and therefore the entire country.”

He also discussed support for families and youth in the regions, calling for work to increase the birth rate. “Today, I would like to specifically highlight the experience of leading regions in supporting young people and large families.  Best practices need to be disseminated and included in regional birth rate improvement programs,” he said.

The Director General of the ASI Svetlana Chupsheva made a key note report where she demonstrated the top 20 regions according to the National ranking of quality of life, with Moscow, St Petersburg, Tatarstan and Tyumen and Sakhalin regions being listed as the top five.

Before the meeting Vladimir Putin accompanied by Svetlana Chupsheva and the Presidential Aide Maksim Oreshkin looked round an exhibition dedicated to results and prospects of the implementation of five national initiatives of the ASI in social, technological, entrepreneurship, personnel and ecology spheres
