Rustam Minnikhanov gets acquainted with progress of key projects implementation at Nizhnekamskneftekhim

On 17 February during their working trip to Nizhnekamsk, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Director General of the SIBUR Mikhail Karisalov got acquainted with progress of implementation of key projects at the Nizhnemaskneftekhim (which is a part on the SIBUR).

The first facility Rustam Minnikhanov and Mikhail Karisalov visited was the modernized mechanical repair plant, where more than 10bn rubles were invested for the replacement of nearly one thousand out of date machines by highly-precise CNC controlled ones and 21 various shops were organized of 229.

After having looked round new technological lines, the Rais of the republic gave high appraisal to new machines and equipment.

Later the dame day Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Lemayevskaya main control room where he got acquainted with a large scale programme of integrating control rooms and implementation of the automated process control system which will raise the automation level from 73 to 95 per cent and increase productivity.

Rustam Minnikhanov was shown work places of operators, equipped with multi-view control desks and relaxation and leisure rooms. The Rais of the republic stated that creation of comfortable conditions for employees is a priority task at any enterprise.

In conclusion Rustam Minnikhanov visited the first and the only one in Russia hexene production with the capacity of 50 thousand tonnes a year which completely covers the demand of the domestic market and forms the export capacity. Hexene is a key component for the production of premium class polyethylene and by 2029 its manufacture will make it possible to produce more than 3.3m tonnes of premium brand polyethylene a year.
