Rustam Minnikhanov, Denis Manturov and Sergey Chemezov start new manufacture of axles at KAMAZ

On 16 February the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the First Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Denis Manturov, the Director General of the Rostec State Corporation Sergey Chemezov and the Director General of the KAMAZ Automaker Sergey Kogogin took part in a ceremony of putting into operation a new manufacture of axles for KAMAZ produced trucks.

The enterprise will manufacture axles for the K3 and K5 generation trucks and the implementation of the project will make it possible to provide the manufacture of drive axles for the whole range of vehicles produced at the automobile giant.

Speaking at the ceremony, Denis Manturov stated that the implementation of the project became possible due to joined efforts of the Russia Government, the leadership of the republic, the KAMAZ Company itself and the Industry Development Fund. “Assimilation of the axle manufacture for the new generation of K5 trucks makes it possible to replace import of these complex car units,” he said. 

In his turn Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the Russian President, the Government of the country and the Industry Development Fund for the support given to the enterprise and facilitation of implementation of new projects. “We are opening a new axle manufacturing plant. Special thanks to its team. We are going together to new feats,” he emphasized. 

Segry Cogogin informed that the total investment into the plant construction made 6.5bn rubles, including 5bn allocated by the Industry Development Fund, while the Fund Director Roman Petruza informed that in total his organization has financed about 100 projects for 120bn rubles within a special programme “Car components” in Russia.
