Rustam Minnikhanov lays flowers to the monument of the Hero of the Soviet Union, the Lenin Prize laureate, Tatar poet Musa Jalil

On 15 February the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev, the Chairman of the regional State Council Farid Mukhametshin and the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, took part in a ceremony of laying flowers to the monument of Musa Jalil held at the 1st May Square with participation of the poet’s daughter Chulpan Zalilova.

There are a number of events to be held during the celebrations of the 120th birthday of the poet in Kazan, including the “Script Day” in the National Museum of the republic, the “Musa.Moabit” play to be performed at the Gabdulla Kariev Theatre and the world premiere of the Seventh Symphony of Alexander Mozeler.
