Rustam Minnikhanov hands in keys for new GAZ dump trucks to the Main Veterinary Directorate of Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers

On 12 February before the beginning of the resulting collegium of Tatarstan Ministry of Agriculture and Food, held at the Kazan Exhibition Center, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a ceremony of handing in keys for 10 specialized GAZ dump trucks to the Main Veterinary Directorate of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic for the collection of biological waste in populated areas of municipal districts. Also participating in the ceremony were Russian Deputy Minister of Agriculture Roman Nekrasov, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov, the Head of the Main Veterinary Directorate of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic Timur Galeev and other officials.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Rais of the republic emphasized that life quality of people depends on the efficiency of work of the veterinary service.

“The veterinary service already has 29 vehicles, and today another 10. We need to increase this number to 45,” he said and thanked the partner-company Sariya Russia which works at the Alabuga Special Economic Zone.

“Our republic has a powerful cattle breeding complex and there are more than 830 thousand heads of cattle alone. Clear and systematic work of the veterinary service is very important, so we pay a lot of attention to this issue,” Rustam Minnikhanov reminded and emphasized that even though not all regions of Russia are free of animal and bird diseases today, the epizootic situation is under control in Tatarstan.

 In conclusion he wished the veterinary service success in its further work and added: “With great anticipation that our service will reliably carry out all assigned tasks.”
