Rustam Minnikhanov gives a speech at a plenary session at the International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM. Saudi Arabia

On 9 February the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a tour round the International Industrial Exhibition “INNOPROM. Saudi Arabia” and in the main plenary session “Energy of cooperation: innovations for the industrial future”.

In his speech he thanked the hosts for the excellent organization of the event and the opportunity to present the products of Tatarstan companies at an international venue.

“We see a big potential for expanding interaction in such branches as power industry, machine building and agriculture,” the Rais of the republic emphasized and told that Tatarstan is a pilot region in implementation of Islamic banking projects in Russia. In particular, today the Central Bank register lists 35 organizations that engage in partnership financing in Russia, he said and informed participants of the session about opening the AAOIFI representative center in Kazan and the International Economic Conference “Russia-the Islamic world: KazanForum” held in Kazan annually.

Rustam Minnikahnov also invited participants of the session to implement joint Islamic financing projects in Tatarstan and to take part in the KazanForum.
