Rustam Minnikhanov meets His Highness Prince Nayef Al Saud

On 9 February, speaking at his meeting with His Highness Prince Nayef Al Saud, who is also the Chairman of the Board and a strategic partner of a number of companies, including Durah Al-Fodah General Contracting Company, AlMunifat International Distinguished Oil and Gas Company and others, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized the importance of cooperation with Saudi Arabia for Tatarstan within the framework of relations of our countries.

“Saudi Arabia is an important partner of Russia at the international arena. We are developing relations in almost all areas. Leaders of our countries have regular meetings and phone conversations. We have stable and very good bonds in political interaction, economy and humanitarian spheres,” he stated.

As far as economy is concerned, Rustam Minnikhanov said that in Tatarstan the experience of the country is being actively studied within the framework of the "Vision 2030" strategy, primarily in terms of developing a green economy and digitalization.

“In recent years, trade turnover between the republic and Saudi Arabia has been growing steadily, but remains quite modest. According to results of nine months in 2025 it made 72m dollars US. We have every opportunity to expand trade, economic and investment cooperation,” he emphasized and briefly spoke about branches which could be interesting for cooperation, in particular automobile manufacturing.
