Rustam Minnikhanov and members of a delegation from Egypt discuss issues of strengthening cooperation

On 4 February in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with members of a delegation from the Arab Republic of Egypt who came to the republic to get acquainted with its economy and industry and during their stay visited a number of industrial enterprises and evaluated the economic and innovational capacity of the republic.

The parties of the meeting discussed issues of further interaction, in particular the expansion of export deliveries to Egypt of a wide range of industrial products, including mechanical engineering produce.

Speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov stated that according to results of 2024 Tatarstan-Egypt trade turnover increased and reminded that a great deal of work is being carried out through the Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group, which he is the head of by an errand from the Leadership of the country.

It was stated that Kazan as the capital of the republic regularly hosts world scale events and in 2026 it has the status of the cultural capital of the Islamic world. Many different events have been prepared for this occasion, and Rustam Minnikhanov invited representatives from Egypt to take part in them.

In conclusion the Rais of the republic expressed his readiness to further development of Tatarstan-Egypt bonds for the benefit of strengthening relations between Russia and Egypt.
