Rustam Minnikhanov meets the Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Rawas

On 2 February, speaking at his meeting with the Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Rawas on the sidelines of the Forum held in Oman, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov noted the importance of the Forum and emphasized that the republic plays the key role in interaction of Russia with the Islamic world.

The Rais of the republic also emphasized that Tatarstan has been selected as the pilot region of the country for the implementation of Islamic banking and finance principles and informed that the amount of partnership financing deals exceeded 2bn rubles last year.

On top of that Rustam Minnikhanov told about a continuous dialogue with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation thanks to which the International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum" is held annually  and invited Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Rawas and his partners to become guests of honor at the 17th Forum which will be held in May.
