Aleksey Pesoshin: In 2025 Tatarstan Prosecutor’s Office has done substantial work in strengthening statehood and respect for the constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens

On 27 January, speaking at an extended meeting of the Tatarstan Prosecutor’s Office  which summarized results of work of the Office for 2025 and set tasks for strengthening law and order in 2026 and which was held with participation of Russian Deputy General Prosecutor Nikoly Shishkin and the Chief Federal Inspector for the republic Viktor Demidov, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin thanked employees of the Office for good work and high professionalism.

After listening to the report of the regional Prosecutor Albert Suyargulov, Aleksey Pesoshin emphasized that in 2025 the Prosecutor’s Office of the republic has done substantial work in strengthening statehood and respect for the constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens.

 “I would like to thank the employees of the Prosecutor's Office of the republic, who, despite a serious workload, demonstrate high professionalism in their work, ensuring the rule of law and justice,” he said and noted a number of issues that need to be addressed in the coming year of 2026 such as work of defense industry enterprises to ensure timely and quality fulfillment of the state defense order and the issues of protecting rights of participants of the special military operation and their families.

According to Alexey Pesoshin, the prosecutors' work on the lawsuits, aimed at compensating the damage caused to the state and returning illegally alienated property, including land plots, to state ownership, deserves a positive assessment and it should be continued.

The regional Prime Minister also gave an errand to attach special attention to the issue of compliance with legislative requirements regarding the proper maintenance of public infrastructure facilities and the prevention of abuses by authorized government bodies, local government bodies, and regulatory authorities.

“One of the important areas of work is the fight against corruption, which undermines the authority of government bodies, and the illegal actions of corrupt officials cause damage and cause justified discontent among citizens,” he said.

He emphasized that the current year will be filled with various political and social events, such as the Year of the Unity of People of Russia, and the Year of Military and Labour Valour as well as the International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic world:KazanForum” in May  and elections to the Russian State Duma of the IX convocation in September and said that ensuring that these events are held properly remains one of the top priorities..

Aleksey Pesoshin also informed about a number of main macroeconomic indicators with which the republic completed 2025 and retained its leading position among the regions of the Russian Federation.
