Rustam Minnikhanov and Russian Minister of Agriculture visit stand of Tatarstan at the Gulfood exhibition in Dubai

On 26 January the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov together with the Russian Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut visited the exposition of Tatarstan at the largest world exhibition of food industry and beverages Gulfood in Dubai. 

Tatarstan is exhibiting for the sixth year in a row and 20 export contracts were signed following the last exhibition in 2025. This year, the stand area was almost doubled due to the high interest from producers of the republic including those interested in exporting Halal products. 

Last year the total export of agricultural products from Tatarstan amounted to 512m dollars US, including 45m dollars in Halal products. 

As for the United Arab Emirates market, these figures increased by 32% by the end of 2025 which testifies to the expansion of trade bonds with the UAE and the growing demand of regional agricultural products in the Emirates.
