Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in the first meeting of the eighth composition of Tatarstan Public Chamber

On 22 January at the National Library of the republic the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the first meeting of the new VIII composition of Tatarstan Public Chamber which by a unanimous decision supported a candidacy of Aleksandr Terentyev who took the position of the new Chairman of the Chamber having replaced Zilya Valeeva who headed the organization since 2020.

From 2006 till 2022 Aleksandr Terentyev occupied various official positions at the Office of the President of the republic and in 2022-2025 worked at the Russian Federation Council. In 2025 году he was appointed the Aide for the Rais of the republic and his Plenipotentiary Envoy in the Tatarstan State Council.

Aleksandr Terentyev thanked for the trust shown and said: “The Public Chamber is the main institute of the civil society of the republic consisting of the most active and authoritative people, leaders of public organizations and people who have proven that initiative and perseverance in achieving socially significant goals always overcome obstacles and find support from the state and society.”

In his turn Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated members of the new composition of the Chamber having emphasized that they represent the most authoritative public associations of the republic. He thanked members of the previous composition of the Chamber and personally Zilya Valeeva and handed her in the medal of the Order “For services to the Republic of Tatarstan."
