New Year Address of Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov

On 30 December in his address dedicated to the coming New Year, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov wrote: “There is very little time left until the New Year. We celebrate this holiday with good hopes and faith in the best, remembering the moments of the past year, summing up the results and making plans for the future.

2025 was marked by the Year of Defender of the Fatherland and the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. Ceremonial events and meetings with veterans, honoring heroes, and awarding participants in the special military operation took place throughout the republic. The first phase of the "Batyrlar. Heroes of Tatarstan" program has been completed, and support measures for the families of our soldiers have been expanded. As a sign of respect for the defenders of the Fatherland and home front workers, and in order to strengthen civil solidarity in Tatarstan, 2026 has been declared the Year of Military and Labor Valor.

Taking this opportunity, I address all my compatriots who are fighting on the front lines and are on duty this New Year's Eve to say that we are proud of your courage, dedication and are grateful to you for peace and security in our native land.

In the departing year, the republic maintained stable socio-economic development: from industrial production to agriculture. “ Having mentioned facilities that underwent capital overhaul by federal and regional programmes in the social, healthcare, communal and comfortable environment spheres in the republic in 202, Rustam Minnikhanov continued: “We still have many important tasks to solve in the economic and social spheres, and in the development of new technologies. We will continue to work to improve well-being of people, their quality of life, and create opportunities for the self-realization of the younger generation here in our country and native republic. I am confident that thanks to our unity, solidarity and hard work, everything will work out!” In conclusion the Rais of the republic congratulated Tatarstan residents with the coming New Year 2026 and wished them good health, prosperity and fulfillment of their desires.
