Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in a meeting of Russian Central Bank

On 25 December during his working trip to Moscow, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting of the Russian Central Bank held by the Bank Chairperson Elvira Nabiullina with participation of the Chairman of the AAOIFI Board of Trustees Sheikh Ebrahim bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa.

Among other items of the agenda, the meeting also discussed implementation of the partners financing experiment.

After the welcoming speech of Elvira Nabiullina, the Rais of the republic thanked her for her constants support given to the initiatives of the republic “We are grateful for active participation and facilitation of the partnership financing experiment,” he said.

He expressed special thanks to colleagues from the AAOIFI and personally to its Chairman Sheikh Ebrahim bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa and stated that the partnership financing market is developing step by step in Tatarstan and a number of banks of the republic already work in the Islamic financing market.

In his turn the Chairman of the AAOIFI Board of Trustees Sheikh Ebrahim bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa used an example of Tatarstan to tell how the partnership financing experiment is being implemented.

The meeting also discussed current results of the experiment and interaction with the AAOIFI representative center which is planned to be opened in Kazan.
