Rais of Tatarstan visits the Christmas Tree and a fair by the Akiyat puppet theater in Kazan

On 24 December the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin visited the Christmas Tree and a fair by the Akiyat puppet theater in Kazan. 

The Biyalay Fair with attractions, catering units and crafts stalls has been opened today and is included into an extensive festive program and will run until January 8. It is one of the main sites for recreation of residents and guests of the city during New Year holidays.

The "Winter in Tatarstan" project, which was launched in the republic as a continuation of the summer season, brings together about 1 500 events in all cities and districts. The summer season demonstrated significant potential of the project with more than 3,500 events held in 45 municipalities across the republic.
