The modernization of passenger transport is being implemented jointly with the State Transport Leasing Company (STLC) under preferential programs.

Speaking at the ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov said: “The refinery leader of Russia TANEKO implements many interesting projects and passenger transportation is currently developing in Nizhnekamsk. It has always been an important sphere for the city. The aim of the new buses is to solve the problem of urban transportation.  The quality of service to city residents in areas such as public transport will improve significantly. We have a whole program to strengthen the material and technical base and develop the urban transport fleet.”

In his turn the Mayor of Nizhnekamsk Radmir Belyaev stated that it really is an important day for the city. “Thanks to the support of Rustam Minnikhanov we have got 15 large buses. You remember that we mainly used small-capacity buses. However, for a large industrial center like Nizhnekamsk, large-capacity buses were important and directly impact the quality of life and comfort of transportation for our citizens. About 40 percent of the public transport fleet is large buses.  We are also continuing our environmental agenda of methane-powered buses.”
