Rustam Minnikhanov visits renovated Islamic madrasah after R. Fakhreddin in Almetyevsk

On 22 December during his working trip to Almetyevsk municipality, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the renovated madrasah after R. Fakhreddin in Almetyevsk, which earlier was a property of one of oil companies and was completely redesigned.

The new madrasah is one of the leading educational institutions of Russia with about 550 students including 150 full time male and 94 female students, and its geography covers not only the Volga region but also Central Russia, the Urals and Siberia.

After Rustam Minnikhanov and persons accompanying him looked round the building including residential blocks, the Rais of the republic gave positive assessment to the redesign and conditions for study and living of students.

He also talked to students and asked whether all of them know Tatar language. A representative of the madrasah told that about 80 per cent of students know the language and others - especially those who have come from other regions of the country- improve their language skills. The students also study Arabic and English, he said.
