Rustam Minnikhanov hands over keys from the cars to winners of the regional competition among municipalities

On 18 December the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a ceremony held in front of the State Council of the republic and handed over keys from  96 Lada Niva Travel cars and four Sollers Atlant mini-buses to winners   of the regional competition among municipalities.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Rais of the republic said:” I would like to congratulate our settlements which won the competition. For 15 years we have already handed over 3562 cars which ensures accessibility, quickness and efficiency of your work.  Quality of life of citizens depends on how quickly power bodies solve all issues.”

“We have always relied on you, the local authorities, and have always supported you,” he emphasized and once again congratulated all winners of the competition and wished them good work at the XX assembly of the Association of the Council of Municipalities of Tatarstan.

In his turn the Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building Andrey Klishas thanked for an invitation to take part in the Assembly. “It is very important and a great honor to be here,” he said.

Addressing the Rais of the republic, Andrey Klishas stated: “When we discussed the law on local self-government, I felt that these bodies are your support. Handing over the cars is not just a gift but what provides the material and technical basis for interaction with people.”

The Head of the Staroshugurovsky rural settlement of the Leninogorsk municipality L. M. Shigapova delivered a response speech.
