Rais of Tatarstan: Dialogue of Russia and the Islamic world has deep historic roots

On 15 December in Moscow the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a research to practice conference “Dialogue: Russia- the Islamic wolrd: common cultural heritage as the basis for cooperation”, organized by the Strategic Vision Group “Russia the Islamic world” which Rustam Minnikhanov is the head of, the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the International Islamic Mission and dedicated to the 950th anniversary of  the madrasah Nizamiya, which is the first in modern Russia and Europe university-type educational institution.

Speaking to participants of the conference, Rustam Minnikahnov stated that the dialogue of Russia and the Islamic world has deep historic roots and is the interaction of long-familiar civilizations that formed a common cultural and historical space on the territory of Eurasia.

“The most important concepts for these civilizations are justice and mutual support, as well as respect for older generations, family values, peoples and religions,” he emphasized and told about such important tool of interaction as the Strategic Vision Group “Russia the Islamic world”.
