First in Russia state acceptance testing of System-112 has finished in Tatarstan. The acceptance commission was satisfied with the results and announced them positive. From now Tatarstan experience will be used in other Russian regions.

To the point, the unified state information system “GLONASS+112” has been functioning in the republic since July of 2009. The Centre of information technologies of the Republic of Tatarstan is the technical operator of the system.

The emergency call system based on one-stop principle is expected to reduce the response time, improve interaction between emergency services, and help to control terms of calls processing.

Minister of Information and Communication Roman Shaikhutdinov informed that for five years 160 mln rubles were allocated from regional budget for the system development. Moreover, in November Tatarstan and Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations signed the agreement on granting federal subsidies for the sum of 138 mln rubles to build the call centre in Naberezhnye Chelny. Currently, all calls are processed at Call Centre.

100 per cent of cars of the Ministry of Health, 62 per cent of cars of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and 76 per cent of cars of the Ministry of the Interior are provided with navigation equipment. The monitoring of school buses is also carried out in the republic. As a result, the number of road accidents with school buses has reduced by 95 per cent.

The monitoring system also enables controlling location of patrol services interactively.

Development of telecommunication system “System 112” is supervised by Russian Ministry of Communication and Mass Media.
