On 6 December, speaking at a regional meeting in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov gave an errand to heads of cities and regions together with public organizations to ensure holding events dedicated to the Day of Heroes of Fatherland and celebrated on 9 December at a proper level.

He emphasized that in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and in the Year of Defenders of Fatherland this date has a special meaning. “Heroism of our ancestors and heirs of the Victorious generation, their military valor and courage reflect the character of the multinational Russian people. We are proud of our heroes,” the Rais of the republic said.

Speaking about the events dedicated to this day, he noted that lessons of courage, exhibitions, meetings with heroes and other formats of work will make a significant contribution to preserving the history of the exploits of our fellow countrymen, and the patriotic education of children and youth. Rustam Minnikhanov also stated that special attention should be given to veterans of the WWII, participants of military actions and the special military operation.

As on 12 December Russia celebrates the Day of the Russian Constitution, the Rais of the republic gave an errand to heads of the state body and local self-government authorities together with youth amalgamations to organize topical events and solemn ceremonies of handing in Russian passports.

Since the risk of drone attacks on infrastructure remains high in the republic, Rustam Minnikhanov gave an errand to involve heads of settlements and local self-government employees as well as those on duty and night security of social and economic facilities and agricultural enterprises into airspace surveillance.
