Rustam Minnikhanov visits a Muslim boarding school for boys in the Baltasi region

On December 3, during his working visit to Baltsi region of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by the Head of Baltasi region Ramil Nutfullin and Advisor to the Mufti of Tatarstan on social issues Ildar Bayazitov visited a Muslim boarding school for boys in the village of Burbashi.

The boarding school was opened in 2018 and is a subdivision of the Yardam-Pomoshch National Charitable Foundation. It is aimed at spiritual educating boys (grades 5-11) and the subsequent training of future personnel for religious organizations. Particular attention is paid here to children from low-income families and orphans.

During the day, the children attend a local school, and in the evenings and on weekends, they participate in optional classes on spiritual and moral education. Currently, as many as 22 students from Almetyevsk, Arsk, Baltasi, Kukmor and Saby regions, the cities of Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny and the village of Shygyrdan of the Chuvash republic live in the boarding school. The children are provided with everything necessary, including clothing, stationery and other supplies. Accommodation and meals are provided free of charge. Graduates of the Muslim boarding school can then continue their education at madrasah in Tatarstan, the Russian Islamic Institute and the Bolgar Islamic Academy. The leadership of the republic provides support for the activities of the Burbashi boarding school. For example, in 2020, the institution was provided with a Ford Transit minibus.
