Rustam Minnikhanov comes on a working trip to China

On 13 November, speaking at his meeting with the Vice Governor of the Zhejiang province  of China Lu Shan, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who came on a working trip to Hangzhou (the capital of  Zhejiang province)  stated that currently Russia-China relations are at a unprecedentedly high level. China is the main partner of Russia in the amount of bilateral trade and Tatarstan as one of regions of Russia is making its contribution into strengthening this cooperation.

“Our republic has 8 agreements signed with Chinese provinces and according to the results of last year the foreign trade turnover between Tatarstan and China broke the record and exceeded 3.3bn dollars US,”  the Rais of the republic emphasized.  He stated that it is China that has become the key foreign investor in the economy of the republic in recent years.

“We would like to have closer relations with your province and first of all those in economy,” Rustam Minnikhanov concluded and invited the Administration of the Zhejiang province and representatives of business communities to Kazan to take part in the International Forum “ROSTKI: Russia-China -mutually beneficial cooperation.”

In his turn Lu Shan emphasized a mutual interest in expanding inter-regional interaction. He stated that enterprises Rustam Minnikhanov is planning to visit are the most advanced ones.
