Asgat Safarov: Tatarstan will continue supporting new territories of Russia

On 10 November speaking at the Tatarstan State Council at a ceremony of starting an educational programme for public servants of Donetsk and Lugansk republics, Zaporozhe and Kherson regions and the Republic of the Crimea, the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Asgat Safarov said that the republic will continue supporting new territories of Russia and work for creating comfortable conditions for life of local residents.

“Today marks the beginning of a significant stage of cooperation between our regions, the main task of which is to transfer experience of effective state and municipal management and to share the best practices used in Tatarstan.  Several years ago residents of your regions took a fateful decision to reunite with Russia, having common destinies and the desire to build a common future and to rebuild Donbass. The whole country including Tatarstan has adopted Novorossia,” Asgat Safarov said.

He reminded that the republic took patronage over the cities of Lisichansk and Rubizhne and is providing comprehensive help to their residents, including repairs of residential houses, reconstruction of the social infrastructure and organization of children’s recreation.

Asgat Safarov also expressed his gratitude to citizens of new regions of Russia for supporting residents of the republic, who are taking part in the special military operation, and said that they always feel it.

He added that Tatarstan is known for its efficient governance system which includes legislative and executive branches of power and the two-level local self-government. “ I am confident that your stay in Tatarstan will be beneficial and inspire further creative work for the benefit of our regions and the entire country,” Asgat Safarov stated .

In his turn the Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the republic Yuriy Kamaltynov told that the unique feature of Tatarstan is that all government officials work as one big team. “We are an integrated system aimed at the implementation of tasks set by the Rais of the republic. We have a clearly structured system of interaction. At the same time, everyone fulfills his task, established by the Constitution of the Republic of Tatarstan,” he said.

Representatives of the legislative bodies of Donetsk and Lugansk republics, Zaporozhe and Kherson regions and the Republic of the Crimea came to Kazan to study the educational programme “Representative power in a constituent entity of the Russian Federation: the experience of Tatarstan” which is organized and held by the Higher School of Public and Municipal Governance of the Kazan Federal University from 10 to 14 November.

In conclusion of the ceremony the Head of the Office of the Dokuchaevsk City Council of the DPR Anna Litvin said: “I am so happy that our friends-colleagues have invited us to such an educational event. This will also make it possible for us to get acquainted with traditions of Tatarstan. I am looking forward for new friendly relations.”
