Rais of Tatarstan meets Kazakhstan First Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar in Astana

On 31 October upon his arrival to the Astana International Airport after N. Nazarbayev, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who came on a working trip to Kazakhstan, was welcomed by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar. 

Later the same day at their working meeting Rustam Minnikhanov and Roman Sklyar discussed prospects of developing cooperation in the spheres of industry, agribusiness and power economy.

Speaking at the meeting, the Rais of the republic stated that Kazakhstan remains one of key trade partners of Tatarstan and according to results of the first six months of 2025 the trade turnover demonstrates positive dynamics having grown by 45%.

He emphasized that Tatarstan enterprises are very much interested in Kazakhstan market. “We highly appreciate your comprehensive support in the implementation of joint economic projects,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
