Rustam Minnikhanov meets Akim of Kostanay region Kumar Aksakalov in Kazakhstan

On 31 October, speaking at his working meeting with Akim of Kostanay region Kumar Aksakalov  during his working trip to Kazakhstan, the  Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said: “In this difficult time Russia and Kazakhstan have maintained efficient trade, economic and cultural and humanitarian partnership. We are grateful to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for his special attention to the development of Tatarstan-Kazakhstan cooperation and continued readiness to assist in the implementation of joint projects.”

He noted that Kazakhstan is one of the leading foreign partners of Tatarstan and amounts of mutual trade demonstrate the dynamic growth and stated there are good prospects for cooperation in machine-building, food production, agribusiness, power economy petrochemical industry and others.

The Head of the republic noted that the agenda of Tatarstan-Kazakhstan cooperation is quite rich, and regular air- and railway communications between Kazan, Astana and Almaty facilitate the development of business interaction and tourist ties.

Rustam Minnikhanov underlined that Tatarstan highly appreciates an opportunity of expanding interaction with Kostanay region. "We have a good foundation for building connections in a number of areas," he added.
