Rustam Minnikhanov meets students of MGIMO of Russian Foreign Ministry

On 16 October the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who came on a working trip to Moscow, had a meeting with students, including those from the republic, of Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MSIR) of the Russian Foreign Ministry and told them briefly about some events during the BRICS Summit successfully held in Kazan last autumn and about the development of life in the region which is one of those economically stable in Russia.

He also stated that today Tatarstan is well-known all over the world and it is important to continue raising awareness of the region.

The Rais of Tatarstan said that the republic in close coordination with the Russian Foreign Ministry and in cooperation with MSIR develops international relations of the country, including those with the Islamic world, and every year hundreds of representative foreign delegations come to visit it.

He also emphasized that Tatarstan strives to maintain close ties with young university graduates and particularly noted that today the MSIR is the most authoritative domestic analytical center, a true forge of highly qualified personnel in the field of international relations.

Earlier this day Rustam Minnikhanov discussed with the Rector of MSIR Anatoly Torkunov issues of the development of higher education, cooperation at the inter-regional level and got acquainted with a number of labs of the university.
