Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov and Rustam Minnikhanov give start to the construction of the Archery Center in Kazan

On 22 September the Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov and the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov gave a start to the implementation of a large scale project of construction of the specialized Archery Center in Kazan which marks an important stage in the development of the sports infrastructure of the city and the republic.

 The new sports complex will be located at the Olympic reserve school “Tasma”, which currently works with 93 archers, and train both professional and amateur athletes for this kind of sports. It will meet all modern requirements for training and competitions at the highest level, and its technical capabilities will allow for the simultaneous training of 160 archers.

Speaking at the ceremony, Igor Krasnov said he is sure the new sports facility will become the point of attraction not only for children but also for their parents and all residents of the city and concluded :”Godspeed you!”

In his turn Rustam Minnikhanov said: “Our task is to commission this facility by the Day of Tatarstan – August 30, so that our children and young people can do traditional kinds of sports.”

He also thanked Igor Krasnov for finding time to take part in the ceremony and the opening of the IV All-Russian archery competition "The Cup of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation” held on 22 - 26 September in Kazan.
