King of Malaysia High Highness Sultan Ibrahim and Rustam Minnikhanov visit the town of Bolgar

On 21 September the King of Malaysia High Highness Sultan Ibrahim accompanied by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the town of Bolgar in Spassk region of the republic, where he was welcomed with bread and salt and the Tatar national treat – chak-chak.

Sultan Ibrahim and Rustam Minnikhanov looked round Bolgar, attended the museum and got acquainted with the history of the town and its main attractions.

His Highness was told that 1 103 years ago the Volga Bolgaria adopted Islam on this site.

Sultan Ibrahim was especially impressed by the largest in the world printed Quran exhibited in the Memorial Sign in the town.

The King of Malaysia arrived to Bolgar by a high speed passenger ship A145 manufactured at Zelenodolsk Shipbuilding Plant after Gorky and during the trip he was told about all advantages of the vehicle.
