Rustam Minnikhanov at a traditional Saturday meeting: We have come close to the beginning of heating season and it is important to launch heating on time with the onset of cold weather

On 20 September, speaking at a regular meeting in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that at the elections held in the republic on 14 September residents of the republic elected the Rais of the republic and their 7 500 representatives to local councils.

He expressed his gratitude to the electorate for trust and being so active.

“The turnout was high, which shows that people care. The members of elections commissions and those who were involved in elections organization have done huge work," the Rais of the republic said.

He also informed about appointing Aleksey Pesoshin to the post of the Prime Minister of the republic and said that candidates of his deputies also have been approved.

Having informed about work of the VI International Forum Kazan Digital Week – 2025 held on 17-19 September, Rustam Minnikhanov said that tomorrow on 21 September Russia is celebrating the Day of the Forestry Workers.

“Forests cover 17.4 per cent of the republic, they are our treasure and the republic provides comprehensive support to the branch. It is important to use forest resources rationally and protect forests from illegal logging,” he said.

“We have come close to the beginning of heating season and it is important to launch heating on time with the onset of cold weather,” Rustam Minnikhanov continued and informed that preparation work on social facilities to the autumn and winter has been completed and 99 per cent of them have been issued readiness passports.

“I ask heads of municipalities, heads of energy and housing and communal services enterprises to complete all work on time,” he concluded.
