Rustam Minnikhanov addresses residents of Tatarstan on the eve of the Single Voting Day

On 11 September, addressing residents of the republic on the eve of the Single Voting Day, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov wrote: “Dear residents! On 14 September there will be elections of members to the local self-government representative bodies, the Rais of Tatarstan and additional elections of a member of the regional State Council from Melekess constituency.

In every city and settlement residents of Tatarstan will elect their representatives. In total, 7,531 deputy mandates are planned to be filled during the elections.

Polling stations will open at 7 AM all over the republic and will work till 8PM and I hope that voters of the republic will again demonstrate high activity and express their civic position.

Dear friends! During the last five years the republic has maintained its resilience in the face of external challenges. We can see results of our joint work: strong economy, reliable social protection, inter-ethnic and inter-confessional concord and comfortable living environment in cities and regions.

Much has been done, but much still remains to be done. It is important that we have gone this way together and no matter what political preference is, we remain integrated and united community under conditions of the special military operation and under external pressure.

I invite all of you to come to polling stations together with your families as it is your decision that the development of our republic depends on.”
