On September 3, at the team base in Kazan, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the management, players, coaching staff and personnel of the hockey club "Ak Bars" before the start of the games of the 2025/2026 season of the Continental Hockey League Сhampionship.

He emphasized that it has become a good tradition to meet with the team before the start of the championship games.

He emphasized that the team's success is the result of the painstaking work of the players themselves, the coaching staff, administrative personnel, the club management and the Hockey Federation of the republic and sponsors.

Head coach of Ak Bars Hockey Club Anvar Gatiyatulin thanked the republic's leadership for supporting the hockey club. "Excellent conditions have been created for the team. Each of us understands how important Ak Bars' victories are for the republic. We will make every effort to achieve this," the head coach said. Team captain Aleksey Marchenko presented Rustam Minnikhanov with a club scarf. Ak Bars will play its first match of the new season away. On September 6, the Kazan team will play against Magnitogorsk Metallurg.
