Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in a ceremony of unveiling a memorial plaque to the national writer of Tatarstan Tufan Minullin

On 30 August the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin took part in a ceremony of unveiling a memorial plaque to the national writer of Tatarstan, the Honored Art Worker of RSFSR Tufan Minullin located on the façade of the house where the writer lived and dedicated to his 90th birthday. 

Speaking at the ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated residents of Kazan with the Day of the Republic and emphasized that Tufan Minullin made a huge contribution into the development of Tatar literature and art. “Everyone remembers him for something. I was always struck by his ability to fit a lot of thoughts into one sentence. Nobody else could do this,"he said.
