Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in a ceremony of raising the first Navy flag on a patrol vessel and small-size missile ships built at Zelenodolsk Plant after Gorky

On 28 August the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a ceremony of raising the first Navy flag on a patrol vessel and small-size missile ships built at Zelenodolsk Plant after Gorky held by videoconference with participation of the Chief Commander of the Russian Navy Aleksandr Moiseev.

In his welcoming speech, Aleksandr Moiseev said: ”We are witnessing a historic event namely the ceremony of raising the St Andrew’s flag on three navy ships which are modern military machines built at Zelenodolsk Plant after Gorky of the Ak-Bars Shipbuilding Corporation of Tatarstan. It is symbolic that the ceremony is held on the eve of the Day of the Republic. The Ak Bars quite justifiably occupies an important place among shipbuilding enterprises of Russia. Dear Rustam (Nurgalievich), on behalf of the Chief Commandment of the Russian Navy I congratulate you with the Day of Tatarstan and wish the wellbeing and development to the republic.”   

In the response, Rustam Minnikhanov said he is sure that due to professional actions of their staff the ships will serve with dignity, preserving and enhancing the traditions of the Russian fleet.

He emphasized: ”We are proud that ships disembarked from stocks of the Zelenodolk Plant are becoming a part of a strong military family today and we are sure that our cooperation will continue to contribute to the efficient work on construction and operation of orders for the Russian Navy”.
