Rustam Minnikhanov: Our country attaches great attention to interaction with Bahrain

On 26 August at his meeting with the Minister of Oil and Environment of the Kingdom of Bahrain Doctor Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Daina on the sidelines of Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized: “Russia attaches great attention to interaction with Bahrain. Moscow and Manama are brought together by similar positions on a wide range of international and regional issues, as well as a desire to resolve conflict situations and counter threats. Our country considers the Kingdom to be an important trade, economic and investments partner in the Middle East.” 

It is for the fourth time that Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Daina is taking part in the petrochemical forum and the Rais of the republic thanked him for his attention and support in setting up relations with the republic. He also informed that Tatarstan delegations have also visited Bahrain on numerous occasions. 

“We are very grateful to the King of Bahrain for the attention he pays to our republic. He receives us during our every visit to Manama,” Rustam Minnikhanov said and stated that the republic has also well-established bonds with other members of the Royal family and members of the Government.

He emphasized the importance of further strengthening trade, economic and investments cooperation and said that Tatarstan as one of key oil regions of Russia can see significant potential for partnership with Bahrain. “A strong industrial base, advanced technologies and competencies in oil production, refining and petrochemistry of the republic can become the basis for joint projects,” the Rais of the republic concluded.

In his turn Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Daina thanked for the hospitality and conveyed to Rustam Minnikhanov the words of greetings and good wishes from the King of Bahrain.
