Rustam Minnikhanov at opening of Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum- 2025: A dialogue and exchange of experience will help to strengthen cooperation and create new projects in petrochemical sphere

On 26 August in his welcoming speech to participants of Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum-2025 held at the Kazan Expo Kazan Exhibition Center, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that the Forum has quite justifiably become one of the largest international events of the petrochemical industry and is held on the eve of the Day of Oil and Gas Employees.

This year the forum gains special importance as it is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Tatneft Company which has become a flagship of the oil industry of the republic and a symbol of innovational development, he said and emphasized that today the petrochemical complex is undergoing huge transformation. ”We are facing challenges of technological renovation, search for new points of growth and insurance of sustainable development,” he said and added that it is these issues that will be discussed at a plenary session of the Forum.

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked everyone for taking part in the Forum and concluded:”I am sure that an open dialogue, exchange of experience and joint work will help us to strengthen cooperation and develop new projects in petrochemical industry for future generations”.

In his turn Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Mikhail Ivanov emphasized that it is difficult to imagine the development of the oil and gas chemical complex in modern realities without the formation of its own technological structure.

He thanked the Leadership of Tatarstan for the traditionally high level of the International Forum organization.
