On November 23 at a regional meeting held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov Tatarstan Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Akhmetov reported on measures and level of state support of Tatarstan agricultural producers.

According to Marat Akhmetov, federal and regional state support is rendered in a few areas. In particular, 3.2 bln rubles were allocated for plant growing, 2.39 bln rubles – for livestock sector development in 2013.

7.47 bln rubles were allocated from federal and regional budgets for interest rate subsidies. 946 mln rubles were provided for developing minor businesses.

The regional budget support is expected to make 4.69 bln rubles in 2014.
