Rustam Minnikhanov and Irek Fayzullin take part in opening indoor football pinches in four regions of Tatarstan

On 21 August via videoconference the Russian Minister of Construction and Housing Utilities Sector Irek Fayzullin, the Rais (Head) of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov and the Minister of Sports of the republic Vladimir Leonov took part in a ceremony of opening indoor football pitches in four regions of Tatarstan. 

Speaking at the ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov stated that since 2013 the republic has been implementing a programme on construction of universal sports grounds and low-cost sports facilities, having allocated nearly 6bn rubles on the construction of 1 194 facilities. 

“It is noteworthy that sports facilities are being built not only in large cities, but also in small towns. Today within this programme we are opening four indoor football arenas in Arsk, Bavly, Mendeleevsk and Big Kukmor,” the Rais of the republic said and thanked the Leadership of the country for supporting projects in Tatarstan. He reminded that a large scale project of the Center for the Development of Football is being implemented due to the support of the Federal Government in the Rubin Football Club sports base.

In his turn Irek Faysullin noted that the 2013 Universiade and the 2015 World Aquatics Championships gave a serious impetus to the development of sports infrastructure in Tatarstan.”Attention of the leadership of the republic and heads of municipalities to the development of sports in the republic is an important work focused on population health promotion,” he said and wished athletes achievements and new victories.

Besides the 20x40meters pitch the football arenas have comfortable change rooms with showers and toilets, a coach room, a gym and a doctor’s room and all necessary equipment and furniture.
