Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in a meeting of the Russian Prime Minister with the Chairman of the Cabinet of Minister – Head of the Presidential Administration

On 14 August the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting of the Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin with the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan – the Head of the Presidential Administration Adylbek Kasymaliev. 

Speaking at the meeting, the Rais of the republic stated that Tatarstan highly appreciates an opportunity of expanding partnership with Kyrgyzstan within the framework of friendly Russia-Kyrgyzstan relations and informed that according to results of last year the trade turnover between Tatarstan and Kyrgyzstan made 138m dollars US.

He told that in 2022 Tatarstan initiated the establishment of the Center for Biodiversity Preservation Ak Bars in the natural habitat of the snow leopard in the Republic of Altay and established cooperation with Kyrgyzstan which resulted in bringing three snow leopards to the Center and a joint research programme of repopulation of the animal. The Centre is already working and is becoming the main site for repopulation of the snow leopard in its natural habitat.
