Rustam Minnikhanov: There are well-established strong bonds between Tatarstan and Kyrgyzstan

On 14 August, speaking at a plenary session of the VII Russia-Kyrgyzstan economic Forum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov attracted attention to the fact that there are well-established strong bonds between Tatarstan and Kyrgyzstan which facilitates the development of Russia-Kyrgyzstan relations.

“I am sure that exchange of experience and best practices between our countries will serve further strengthening of relations and discloser the digital transformation potential, “he emphasized.

The Rais of the republic stated that Tatarstan occupies leading positions in technological development and was one of the first in the country to move all state and municipal services into an e-form. Today the share of mobile internet users in the republic has increased up to 5.5 m people and there are more than 1.3m of wireline service subscribers, Rustam Minnikhanov said and added: “IT infrastructure is actively developing in the republic and IT parks  unite more than 700 resident-companies with the annual revenues of more than 40bn rubles.”

He also informed that 3.3 per cent of working population is employed in the IT sphere and concluded: “We are focused on dynamic development of interactions in scientific and technological sphere creating favourable conditions for the exchange of innovative development and best practices”.
