Rustam Minnikhanov gives assessment to the tourism potential and gets acquainted with the progress of harvesting in the fields of the Kamsko-Ustinsky region

On 12 August the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who went on a working trip round several regions of the republic, first came to Kamsko-Ustinsky region where he visited the Yuryevskaya Cave visit center built in 2023 and opened in June 2024 by the programme of the development of public spaces of Tatarstan.

The Rais of the republic was demonstrated tourist attraction points of the region, such as the Cave, gypsum mine galleries, the Lobach Mountain and the confluence of the Volga and the Kazan rivers, as well as an eco-hotel, a glamping and others.

Later the same day Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with representatives of the regional activists and farmers, where the Head of the region Nail Vazykhov reported about the harvest progress and said: “Let us hope that the weather will permit us to harvest the yield in time, tentatively by August 25. The work is going on well.”».

The Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov, who accompanied Rustam Minnikhanov during his trip, informed that 2m 215 thousand tonnes of grain have already been threshed in the republic with the average yield of 42.5 centners per hectare.

Marat Zyabbarov also stated that the region simultaneously carries out soil tillage preparing it for autumn sowing campaign.

Giving his comments on the tourism potential of the region, Rustam Minnikhanov said: “The region has a very beneficial location for tourism and this should be developed so than to move from wild tourism to the development of civilized tourist routes.” He also reminded that one of the important tasks today is the support of participants of the special military operation and their families and thanked everyone who helps to our soldiers.

When talking to activists of the region, the Rais of the republic emphasized that despite the difficult economic situation the republic will continue implementation of all programmes related to the development of the infrastructure, including roads network and potable water supply.

After looking round an exposition of agricultural produce of farmers of the region, Rustam Minnikhanov and persons accompanying him visited the horse breeding farm – a peasant farm enterprise "R.F. Nuriev”.
